Although this logo didn’t end up as the client’s final choice, I had too much fun with it not to bring it to life a little bit more. The name Francis was derived from the famous philosopher credited as one of the earliest people to employ scientific method. I chose to visualize that with a caterpillar, chrysalis, and butterfly, all contained within a jar, ostensibly to be studied.
